In January 2009, Jenni Nguyen and Newton Nguyen became the proud, new owners of Spallon-a charming and cozy full-service beauty salon in the heart of PQ. Fellow Sundevils, natives of Rancho Penasquitos, they decided there’s no better place to own a business than in their very own backyard. Needless to say, Spallon has become their pride and joy. Both of their moms have been in the beauty industry all their lives and Jenni and Newton both say, “it was fate and pure luck that we came across this jewel in PQ and sometimes…you just have to believe that some things are meant to be.” At the age of 16, Jenni obtained her manicurists’ license and worked alongside her hard-working and inspirational mother as she paid her way through college. Unexpectedly, she fell in love with the industry and the customer-service oriented nature of the industry and went on to expand her knowledge and explore the opportunities available to her in larger, higher-end spas and salons. After getting the opportunity to build and manage a team of her own and pamper celebrities and spa-connoisseurs alike, she decided that one of her life-long goals would be to open a spa and salon of her very own that would cater to all the people that deserve to be pampered and treated like celebrities-everyone.
Newton also has found a deep passion within the industry and secretly frequents spas every chance he gets to do what he says is “research”. Whatever his motives truly are and whether it be by osmosis through manicures, pedicures, massages or facials, Newton has developed a strong sense of spa and salon customer service and envisions creating an oasis of pampering and relaxation right in the heart of his hometown. Backed by a team of talented stylists, manicurists, make-up artists, and estheticians, Jenni and Newton are working hard to create a special place for all their clients that they can truly call their own.
